Arriving in London in 2001, Florence Cyrot considers herself fully Londonian today.
She has gone through all stages of life there - student, mother of three children, then higher education professional. She is currently Director of Student and Academic Services at ESCP Business School (London campus), where she also leads equality, diversity and inclusion policies.
Politically engaged since 2016, she campaigned for the UK to remain in the EU before joining the Liberal Democrats. A candidate in the 2018 local elections, she obtained 11% of the vote in the 2021 London Assembly elections. Holder of an MSc in computer science from Birkbeck College (University of London), she was among the first European students of the Erasmus programme in 1989.
She previously worked as an auditor and consultant in France and Italy, and co-published a book on student mobility in partnership with the French Embassy in the United Kingdom. Of French and British nationality, she has lived in south-west London for more than twenty years.
