French expat for over 30 years -first in Tokyo, then in London for 28 years- Christophe wishes to put at the service of French people in the United Kingdom the skills and experience he has developed in international finance and community engagement.
An active and committed professional journey…
Chief Operating Officer and senior executive for 25 years within investment banks and market infrastructure companies, he specialized in transforming organizations facing growth and profitability crises, within rapidly changing environments.
His latest professional experience particularly confronted him with the challenges of turning around a cross-border business operating between France and the United Kingdom, pre and post Brexit, a reality that many French people established here know well.
These years in a demanding sector taught him to find concrete solutions to complex problems, to listen and to build lasting trust relationships — qualities he intends to put fully at the service of his fellow citizens.
Political engagement rooted in clear values
His activism within the Liberal Democrats led him to run in 2024 for the London Assembly for the West Central constituency, where he achieved the party's best results in 20 years. At the end of 2024, Christophe was elected to the Liberal Democrats executive committee in London for a two-year term. He is also engaged within the Renaissance party, whose UK branch he has been coordinating since 2023.
If he fights alongside the Liberal Democrats, it's because he shares their values : defense of individual freedoms, social justice, economy open to the world based on strong businesses, pragmatic ecology and attachment to a strong and united Europe- convictions that particularly resonate for French people living in the United Kingdom.
" I believe in political action that brings together rather than divides, that relies on facts rather than fears, and that places the general interest above partisan interests. "
A grassroots man, listening to citizens
Co-leader for five years of an association for more accessible, greener and more vibrant streets, and head of an organization dedicated to sustainable mobility in London, he learned to bring residents' concerns to elected officials, administration and institutions — experience directly transferable to serving French people in the United Kingdom.
You'll find him along the Thames or in London's parks, running or cycling. And despite all these years abroad, he remains deeply attached to the paths and (green!) hills of the Pays Basque, where his French roots remain.
